Our training and all home games are played at Willunga High School.
Away games are played at our competitors home ground.
Our NDJSA (Nourlunga) competition includes a range of local schools and clubs in our surrounds with northern most teams located at Hallett Cove and Woodcroft.
Our AHJSA (Adelaide Hills) competition includes a range of clubs located throughout the Adelaide Hills spanning from Strathalbyn to Birdwood. With this said, to reduce travel the AHJSA have agreed that fixtures between Willunga and Birdwood may be played somewhere in the middle (ie Mount Barker, Hahndorf) to reduce the travel time for both clubs.
Exact dates vary each season but generally our league season runs between the start of term 2 in May to the end of term 3 in September.
For competitive age groups (Under 12+) this includes a knock out “cup” competition.
Some seasons kick off with a pre-season or end of season carnival but this varies year to year.
Generally teams are finalised two to three weeks prior to the start of season.
In saying this, this season Willunga Phoenix is planning a pre-season schedule. Preparations are still under way as to when and where pre-season will occur.
Willunga Pheonix Soccer Club is a member of the Nourlunga District Junior Soccer Association (NDJSA) and for 2021 have been welcomed to play in the Adelaide Hills Junior Soccer Association.
Our local league the NDJSA offers non competitive and competitive soccer for primary school aged kids up to and including 12 year olds.
The AHJSA offers competitive soccer for our clubs high school aged kids, including all girls leagues.
Matchday every Saturday, with match times varying between 9am and midday
Accommodate multiple boys and girls mixed teams ranging in age groups from U6s to U16s.
Primarily teams are formed on a first come (registered) first serve basis.
In some instances we may have more than one team in the same age group. In these circumstances, we will consider requests for players to play in the same team as their friends however, please be aware that these requests may not always be granted subject to restricted availability.
At the discretion of the club and coaches teams may also be formed based on a players ability, Training between teams at times can be combined, however team separation for some training drills aids tailored training sessions that best suits players abilities, supporting player development.
All teams train once a week.
Although training is not absolutely mandatory every week, we encourage all players to attend training as much as possible to build up their capability, boost their confidence and strengthen team comradery. Plus, it’s good fun.

Absolutely, we encourage registrations from girls and boys from all backgrounds – we don’t discriminate.
Ordinarily, we will mix girls and boys through the early age groups and for the first time in 2021 Willunga Phoenix is looking to register an U14s and U17s All Girls teams in the Adelaide Hills Girls league.
We accept boys and girls across all age groups from Under 6 to Under 12 in the NDJSA, noting that all children must attend school.
We also welcome girls to play in the AHJSA all girls league (U14s and U17s) and also boys and girls in the U14s and U16s league.

Registration ordinarily opens end of February early March.

Registration is a two step process.
Pre registration must be made by completing our clubs online pre-registration form which is forwarded to our club registrar. This allows the club to allocate the player to squads, prepare team kits and better plan for pre season.
In addition to this, formal registration and payment on line via the PlayFootball portal is required prior to play. This typically opens up in April.

Fees for 2022 are not yet set. As a guide, fees in 2021 fees were:
Under 6 to Under 10 with Sports Voucher: $130
Under 6 to Under 10 without Sports Voucher: $130
Under 11+ with Sports Voucher: $60
Under 11+ without Sports Voucher: $160
Sports Vouchers is a Government of South Australia initiative for primary school age children from Reception to Year 9 to receive a $100 discount from sport organisation fees for 2021.
Sports Vouchers are non-transferable and are only redeemable once per child per calendar year. For more information see the link on this page or via the REGISTER page.
Once registered and processed you will be contacted by our registrar and sent a welcome pack with further information surrounding next steps, including additional information about the club and the season ahead.
All coaches, committee and adult volunteers working with children will have had a working with children clearance to work with the kids in accordance with state and federal requirements.
The traditional Junior and Youth coaching licenses are no longer. In saying that, Willunga are very proactive and supportive in the further development and education of our volunteer coaches, usually a parent which will in turn help improve the football experience for their players.
